Dear StakeholdersAs Nurol Construction, we continue our sustainability journey with determination this year and we are proud to share with you the sixth %u201cNurol Construction YES Sustainability Report%u201d.We started 2023 with a devastating earthquake disaster that affected many provinces in the Southeastern Anatolia Region, the epicenter of which was Kahramanmara%u015f. We once again extend our condolences to those who lost their relatives in this disaster and wish everyone affected get well soon. As Nurol Construction, we will continue to take all necessary initiatives and contribute to the healing of the wounds in order to fulfill our responsibility in these difficult days that our country is going through. The year 2023 was a period of such geopolitical developments that affected the whole world. As an organization, we have witnessed these developments in our various processes and observed their effects on our industry and societies. However, the increasing effects of climate change have once again demonstrated the importance of our sustainabilityoriented efforts. We are aware that climate change is no longer just a warning, but has become a global crisis. For this reason, we believe that all our stakeholders need to take action quickly to avoid greater and more severe consequences in the future. We are aware that we need to focus on efforts to adapt to climate change as well as preventing it. Aware of the critical role our industry plays in this process, we draw strength from our nearly 60 years of deep-rooted experience and aim to make meaningful contributions to the sustainability of cities and societies by prioritizing resilience in the construction of every building.Recognizing the critical importance of reducing greenhouse gas emissions in line with our goals of combating climate change and sustainability, we continue to identify new actions to improve our longstanding greenhouse gas management system. With this awareness, we have taken steps to develop the ISO 14064 Corporate Greenhouse Gas Calculation System in order to manage our direct and indirect emissions more effectively and carry our sustainability efforts further. Our sustainability approach is not only limited to reducing our environmental impact, but also requires us to take important steps in social and governance areas. In this context, we focus on projects to improve the welfare of our employees and society, and we strive to create an inclusive and fair work environment. This year, in line with Nurol Construction%u2019s inclusive way of doing business, we have established and certified the Equal Opportunity Model, a pioneering practice in our sector to support the reduction of inequalities. We aim to strengthen the practices of this model in our organization and create examples of good practices in the sector by further developing our merit-based approach day by day.As we celebrate the 100th anniversary of our Republic, we carry the responsibility of the legacy left to us with great pride. I believe that the steps that will shape our future are being taken today, and I would like to take this opportunity to thank the efforts of every member of the Nurol Construction Family who works with this awareness and great devotion.CEO & Board MemberAbout The Report04MESSAGE FROM THE CEOOur Sustainability ApproachAbout The ReportUn Global Compact Content IndexApplicable Gri Sector StandardGovernanceSocialPerformance Indicators DetailsEcosystem
