Ashgabat Railway System
Rehabilitation Project

• Location: Ashgabat / TURKMENISTAN • Type of Work: Technical
renovation of existing facilities and construction of new facilities •
Number of Rehabilitated Facilities: 3 • Number of Newly Constructed
Facilities: 3 • The scope of the project, undertaken by a joint venture
which Nurol has %50 share, consists of the renewal of 49 existing
machinery, installation of 53 new machinery, and electromechanical
works.

Rehabilitation of Ashgabat City Roads
• Location: Ashgabat / TURKMENISTAN • Type of Works:
Rehabilitation of city roads and boulevards • Length of Roads: 45 km
• Within the project scope, which was executed by the JV with 50 %
Nurol share and included the renewal and rehabilitation of Ashgabat
City Roads, all kinds of pavement work, pedestrian sidewalks,
medians, rain water canals, manholes and underground utility
crossing were realized. Signalization works were also accomplished
under a separate contract.

Sahi Cabbarova Road, Renovation Works and
Construction of New Sections
• Location: Ashgabat / TURKMENISTAN • Type of Work: Urban
boulevard rehabilitation • Length of Roads: 6 km • The 6 km long
protocol road, completed by the JV where Nurol has 50 % share,
connects the Presidential Palace in the city center to the National
Museum in the suburbs. Road width varies between 80 m and 40
m. All infrastructure and signalization work of the road were also
completed within the scope of the project.

Serahs City Railway Station
Terminal Building & Relevant Works
• Location: Serakhs / TURKMENISTAN • Type of Work: Construction of
the train station building and of the train platforms within the station
• Closed Area: 3,000 m² • Number of Storeys: 3 • The three-storey
building having platforms both in Iran and Turkmenistan sides of the
border, is the first station building in Turkmenistan to be constructed
in line with international standards. The third floor of the building is
the administrative section and in addition to those listed above, 11
railway lines, relevant train park platforms, loading platforms and all
kinds of exterior lighting systems were also realized. The project was
executed by the JV in which Nurol has 50 % share.
