DESCRIPTION
Souk Tleta Dam is under construction by Nurol Construction Co. at the Tizi Ouzou province of Algeria. It is located on the Bougdoura Stream, 8 km south of the citry of Draa Ben Khedda, in order to provide 98 hm3 of irrigation and drinking water for Tizi Ouzou and Boumerdes regions. The dam is a clay core earth fill dam and it will be 95 m high from the foundation. Once completed its reservoir will have a 90.000.000 m3 storage capacity. Project’s scope include 1.600.000 m3 excavation, 1.800.000 m3 fill, 116.000 m3 concrete and 3.600 tons of steel.
