NUROL İNŞAAT Has Signed The United Nations Global Compact

Nurol İnşaat has signed the United Nations (UN) Global Compact that adopts the vision of a sustainable and comprehensive global economy.

Nurol İnşaat, which has made a name for itself since its inception with many national and international large-scale and high-technology projects, has signed the United Nations Global Compact in line with the importance it places on the vision of sustainable development and doing business at world standards.

Nurol İnşaat aims to contribute to the formation of a common culture in the business world and in particular in the construction sector within the framework of universal principles by taking a step to become a part of the voluntary initiative Global Compact, which supports sustainable development and good corporate citizenship practices.

Having adopted the principle of fulfilling the requirements for the environmental protection, anti-corruption, observing labour standards and human rights in accordance with its institutional policies since its establishment, Nurol İnşaat is raising its practice in complying with the said requirements every day more and more.

By signing the Global Compact within the framework of its responsible business management approach, Nurol İnşaat aims to become a part of the World’s most inclusive sustainability platform, to share and exchange the relevant experiences with other signatories by presenting good practical examples both at the national and international levels, and to participate in an effective communication network to access relevant resources and experiences in order to improve its own practices.

HUMAN RIGHTS
PRINCIPLE 1 : Businesses should support and respect the protection of internationally proclaimed human rights; and
PRINCIPLE 2 : make sure that they are not complicit in human rights abuses.
LABOUR
PRINCIPLE 3 : Businesses should uphold the freedom of association and the effective recognition of the right to collective bargaining;
PRINCIPLE 4 : the elimination of all forms of forced and compulsory labour;
PRINCIPLE 5 : the effective abolition of child labour; and
PRINCIPLE 6 : the elimination of discrimination in respect of employment and occupation.
ENVIRONMENT
PRINCIPLE 7 : Businesses should support a precautionary approach to environmental challenges;
PRINCIPLE 8 : undertake initiatives to promote greater environmental responsibility; and
PRINCIPLE 9 : encourage the development and diffusion of environmentally friendly technologies.

PRINCIPLE 10 : Businesses should work against corruption in all its forms, including extortion and bribery.lı.
